Join us each week as experts help us explore issues shaping the world of work. The TalentCulture #TChat Show is back live on Wednesday, February 26, 2014. #TChat Radio starts at 6:30 pm ET (3:30 pm PT) and the convo continues on #TChat Twitter chat from 7-8 pm ET. Last week we talked about improving the quality of hire via reference checks and better interviewing, and this week we’re talking about the “Year of the Employee.” Quite appropriate and not a moment too soon. As we learned last week, Virgin Pulse’s survey showed that most employees either “love” or feel "pretty good" about their company because it’s a great place to work — but only a quarter of them say they feel love in return. However, according to this week’s guest, companies in 2014 will focus on the top priorities of retention, engagement, and “attraction of talent,” for the first time in nearly a decade. Plus, more than 60% of organizations say dealing with “the overwhelmed employee” is the biggest. Time for talent to take the power back!  Join #TChat co-creators and hosts Meghan M. Biro and Kevin W. Grossman as we learn more about the year of talent with this week’s guest: Josh Bersin, Founder and Principal at Bersin by Deloitte, leading provider of research-based membership programs in human resources (HR), talent and learning. A special thank you to our sponsors: Virgin Pulse, Dice, and TalentWise.

Join us each week as experts help us explore issues shaping the world of work. The TalentCulture #TChat Show is back live on Wednesday, February 19, 2014. #TChat Radio starts at 6:30 pm ET (3:30 pm PT) and the convo continues on #TChat Twitter chat from 7-8 pm ET. Last week we talked about celebrated Valentine’s Day the “world of work” way, and this week we’re talking improved quality of hire via the threat of reference checks. The holy grail of hiring are the high performers organizations so long to find, recruit and retain forever and ever. The happy "A players" who create and add to your culture and improve the business bottom line. While rigorous screening techniques and assessments are in the midst of a renaissance, multiple interviewers and the threat of real-time reference checks can and are still powerful screeners. Yes, there are legally only a few “name, rank and serial number” questions potential employers can ask, but according to this week’s guest, reference checks are still a powerful “truth serum.”  Join #TChat co-creators and hosts Meghan M. Biro and Kevin W. Grossman as we learn more about the power of reference calls with this week’s guests: Chris Mursau, Vice President at Topgrading, and Jean Lynn Director of HR at Home Instead Senior Care. A special thank you to our sponsors: Virgin Pulse, Dice, and TalentWise.

Join us each week as experts help us explore issues shaping the world of work. The TalentCulture #TChat Show is back live on Wednesday, February 12, 2014. #TChat Radio starts at 6:30 pm ET (3:30 pm PT) and the convo continues on #TChat Twitter chat from 7-8 pm ET. Last week we talked about finding your core genius, and this week we’re celebrating Valentine’s Day the “world of work” way. Yes, the figurative and hopefully perpetual Valentine’s Day at work — employers loving their employees so they’ll love them back. Showing employees a little love goes a long way. Really. Make it clear you care by supporting their well-being with robust workplace wellness programs. By supporting employees’ Total Quality of Life both at work and home, you’ll improve engagement and retain loyal people who go the extra mile.  Join #TChat co-creators and hosts Meghan M. Biro and Kevin W. Grossman as we learn more about world of work love with this week’s guests: Chris Boyce, CEO at Virgin Pulse, a proud #TChat sponsor; and Kevin Herman, Director of Worksite Wellness at The Horton Group. A special thank you to our sponsors: Virgin Pulse, Dice, and TalentWise.

Join us each week as experts help us explore issues shaping the world of work. The TalentCulture #TChat Show is back live on Wednesday, February 5, 2014. #TChat Radio starts at 6:30 pm ET (3:30 pm PT) and the convo continues on #TChat Twitter chat from 7-8 pm ET. Last week we talked about pervasive technology and why recruiters need to be in the tech know, and this week we’re discussing job satisfaction and career aspirations. We hear a lot in the world of work about finding your passion and being happy with what you do, but what is the reality of this sometimes super surreality? Quite real according to this week’s guest. In fact, finding your core genius is a soul searching endeavor that includes self-reflection and prioritization of what's most important to you and then brainstorming career possibilities that match those elements. Join #TChat co-creators and hosts Meghan M. Biro and Kevin W. Grossman as we learn more about how to find your core with this week’s guests: Maggie Mistal, who CNN dubbed one of the nation's best known career coaches, and one of her clients, Laura Rolands, a former Human Resources Executive for Chrysler and now an attention coach (thanks to Maggie). A special thank you to our sponsors: Dice, TalentWise and Virgin Pulse.

Join us each week as experts help us explore issues shaping the world of work. The TalentCulture #TChat Show is back live on Wednesday, January 29, 2014. #TChat Radio starts at 6:30 pm ET (3:30 pm PT) and continues on the #TChat Twitter chat from 7-8 pm ET. Last week we talked about the Best 100, and this week we’re going to discuss pervasive technology and why recruiters (all of us actually) need to constantly be in the “world of work know.” The fact is, IT is not just about legacy mainframes and system administration of old -- it encompasses diverse range including the consumerization of everything we touch. And if you’re part of the tech movement, according to a recent Dice Report, hiring is on the rise. If you’re a recruiter sourcing and hiring tech folks, you need to stayed “skilled up” as well to keep the competitive edge. Join #TChat co-creators and hosts Meghan M. Biro and Kevin W. Grossman as we learn more about pervasive technology trends and recruiting with this week's guests: Shravan Goli, President of Dice, and Sara Fleischman, Senior Technical Recruiter at Concur Technologies. A special thank you to our sponsors: Dice, TalentWise and Virgin Pulse.

Join us each week as experts help us explore issues shaping the world of work. The TalentCulture #TChat Show is back live on Wednesday, January 22, 2014. #TChat Radio starts at 6:30 pm ET (3:30 pm PT) and the convo continues on #TChat Twitter chat from 7-8 pm ET. Last week we talked about the continued rise of the virtual workplace, and this week we’re going to talk to one of our good friends China Gorman about the 2014 100 Best list, released on January 16. There are several new companies as well as many repeats with big growth. But one thing continues to be clear — being a great workplace is the best employer branding strategy. Join #TChat co-creators and hosts Meghan M. Biro and Kevin W. Grossman as we learn more about this year’s "Best Companies to Work For" with this week’s guest: China Gorman, CEO of Great Place To Work Institute. A special thank you to our sponsors: Dice, TalentWise and Virgin Pulse.
Jan 15, 2014
Join us each week as experts help us explore issues shaping the world of work. The TalentCulture #TChat Show is back live on Wednesday, January 15, 2014. #TChat Radio starts at 6:30 pm ET (3:30 pm PT) and then we continue the conversation on the #TChat Twitter chat from 7-8 pm ET. Last week we talked about why their companies need a committed “culture makeover” in 2014, and this week we’re talking virtual workplace trends. The fact is, the rise of global networks and mobile technology now makes it possible to build a distributed workforce today -- anywhere, anytime, easily and cost-effectively while improving productivity and engagement. According to Bersin by Deloitte, Telus, one of the largest telecommunications companies in Canada, has “increased its employee engagement from 53 percent three years ago to 83 percent today" because more than 60 percent of Telus’s 40,000 employees now work from home and have a supportive infrastructure that empowers getting work done. Join #TChat co-creators and hosts Meghan M. Biro and Kevin W. Grossman as we learn more about virtual workplace trends with this week’s guest: Mike Hostetler, Founder and CEO at appendTo, LLC. Mike has built a highly successful virtual programming “open source” workforce. A special thank you to our sponsors: Dice, TalentWise and Virgin Pulse.
Jan 8, 2014
Join us each week as experts help us explore issues shaping the world of work. Happy New Year! The TalentCulture #TChat weekly show is back live on Wednesday, January 8, 2014. #TChat Radio starts at 6:30 pm ET (3:30 pm PT) and then we continue the conversation on the #TChat Twitter chat from 7-8 pm ET. During our last #TChat of 2013, we talked about emotional intelligence, and this week we’re going to discuss why business leadership struggles to retain key people and why their companies need a committed “culture makeover” in 2014. Workplace research continues to validate that employees who work in a “culture” that challenges, values and rewards them, are more emotionally committed their work, their colleagues and their companies, and rarely do they leave. They perform at much higher levels across the board and it’s a reciprocal win for everyone.  Join #TChat co-creators and hosts Meghan M. Biro and Kevin W. Grossman as we learn more about managing sound leadership and culture committment with this week's guest: Mike Myatt, CEO at N2growth, Forbes Leadership Columnist, and Senior Fellow at Gordian Institute. A special thank you to our sponsors: Dice, TalentWise and Virgin Pulse.
Dec 18, 2013
Join us each week as experts help us explore issues shaping the world of work! The TalentCulture #TChat weekly show is back live on Wednesday, December 18, 2013. #TChat Radio will start at 6:30 pm ET (3:30 pm PT), and immediately after, our entire community will continue the conversation on #TChat Twitter from 7-8 pm ET. Last week we talked about the candidate experience, and this week we’re going to discuss your emotional experiences - and how they affect everything you do in the world of work. Just over three years ago the first ever #TChat was about emotional intelligence, an important subject for most #TChat-ters. According to this week's guest, emotions drive our behaviors and performance, which makes or breaks our leadership. Usually we operate at high performance about 83 percent of the time — but it’s the other 17 percent where emotions run high, and that's where our reputations are built. Emotional self-management is critical to personal influence, impact and inspiration, even for the naysayers this time of the year. Join #TChat co-creators and hosts Meghan M. Biro and Kevin W. Grossman as we learn more about managing our emotions at work and at play: Steve Gutzler, President of Leadership Quest, a Seattle-based leadership development company. This will be another informative “world of work” show and the last one before the New Year. Join us!
Dec 11, 2013
Join us each week as experts help us explore issues shaping the world of work! The TalentCulture #TChat weekly show is back live on Wednesday, December 11, 2013. #TChat Radio will start at 6:30 pm ET (3:30 pm PT), and immediately after, our entire community will continue the conversation on #TChat Twitter from 7-8 pm ET. Last week we discussed the one-person HR department, and this week, what if we told you there wasn’t as much as a difference between the five generations in the workplace as we’ve been led to believe?  In fact, what if we told you Millenials of either gender are asking for the same respect as our fathers and mothers are asking for in the world of work? Would you believe it? Well, you should. The latest research results of the 2013 Candidate Experience Awards are being finalized after receiving nearly 50K candidate responses and the report will be out early in January 2014 — it speaks of this insight and much more. Join #TChat co-creators and hosts Meghan M. Biro and Kevin W. Grossman as we all the latest “candidate experience” insights from our guests: Elaine Orler,  President and Founder of Talent Function Group and Chairman of the Talent Board; and Gerry Crispin, international speaker, author and acknowledged thought leader and Co-Founder of the CareerXroads Colloquium. Both are Co-Founders of the Candidate Experience Awards. This will another informative “world of work” show. Join us!
Dec 4, 2013
Join us each week as experts help us explore issues shaping the world of work! The TalentCulture #TChat weekly show is back live on Wednesday, December 4, 2013. #TChat Radio will start at 6:30 pm ET (3:30 pm PT), and immediately after, our entire community will continue the conversation on #TChat Twitter from 7-8 pm ET. We hope you all had a Happy Thanksgiving! Last time we met we celebrated our 3-year anniversary, and this week we're talking about the one-person HR department. “Get it for a dime — and get it on time!” That’s the mantra for this week’s guests — two Human Resources professionals who have both run one-person HR shops in various organizations. Not easy to do, mind you. Feeling like you’re all alone with zero budget and no time for career development while pressured to help scale and grow the business? If so, then you'll have to learn how to be more prepared for the job’s demands and still keep the positive culture vibes pulsing through your veins. You also have to learn how to organize the HR job across all talent-related activities. Join #TChat co-creators and hosts Meghan M. Biro and Kevin W. Grossman as we learn the tips and tricks of a one-person HR department with our guests: Donna Rogers, SPHR, instructor of management at UIS and owner of Rogers HR Consulting, and Dave Ryan, SPHR, Director of Human Resources at Mel-O-Cream Donuts. This will be another informative “world of work” show. Join us!
Nov 20, 2013
Join us each week as experts help us explore issues shaping the world of work! The TalentCulture #TChat weekly show is turning 3 years old and back live on Wednesday, November 13, 2013. #TChat Radio will start at 6:30 pm ET (3:30 pm PT), and immediately after, our entire community will continue the conversation on #TChat Twitter from 7-8 pm ET. They spring from the wild, virtual earth in many forms. Most are vibrant, multi-colored and multi-faceted, nurturing their roots with the diverse individuals who come to share, learn and network around a variety of important topics. Just like the TalentCulture #TChat Community that is turning three years old with over 150 Twitter chats and over 50 new radio shows since we’ve relaunched them! From the first #TChat on November 16, 2010, about emotional intelligence, to the latest show about mobile hiring on November 13, 2013, #TChat continues to break new ground as one of the largest and longest running online learning and networking communities in the "world of work.” A very special thank you to the thousands of loyal participants during the past three years. Join #TChat co-creators and hosts Meghan M. Biro and Kevin W. Grossman as we celebrate online communities with: Ambrosia Humphrey, VP of Talent and the entire Hootsuite Community. This is an exciting milestone for #TChat and we have all of you our wonderful community to thank!

Join us each week as experts help us explore issues shaping the world of work! #TChat Radio show is back live on Wednesday, November 13, 2013, at 6:30 pm ET (3:30 pm PT). Immediately after, our entire community will continue the conversation on #TChat Twitter from 7-8 pm ET. Recently we talked about mobile recruiting and its unprecedented growth. According to a recent Recruiting Trends survey more than 40% of recruiters have received an application using a mobile or tablet device. Here’s a new statistic for you — the fact that there are one billion job searches completed each month on a mobile device. But beyond recruiting, can mobile be applied to hiring, too?  Think about the old model of snail mail offer letters and conference room paperwork. Horribly inefficient. Even email has become cumbersome to many in the workplace, especially millennials and younger generations. Join #TChat co-creators and hosts Meghan M. Biro and Kevin W. Grossman as we discuss the mobile hiring future with: Todd Owens, President and Chief Operating Officer of TalentWise, and Kyle Lagunas, Talent Acquisition Analyst at Brandon Hall Group. This will be another important #TChat show about how mobile continues to change the world of work!
Nov 6, 2013
#TChat Radio is back live on Wednesday, November 6, 2013, at 6:30 pm ET (3:30 pm PT). Right after we'll continue the conversation on #TChat Twitter from 7-8 pm ET.   Last week we talked about mobile recruiting and this week we’re going to talk about social influence and brands, but not just for marketing.   Brands understand social influence relevant to their products and services via social networks.   But what about recruiting? You’ve heard the adage — marketing is recruiting is marketing. We're all perpetual customers and candidates.   We always want the very best and we want to buy from and work for those we know and trust. Finding and engaging the voices of influence can help land both.   Join #TChat co-creators and hosts Meghan M. Biro and Kevin W. Grossman as we discuss the the art of sourcing influence: Mark Fidelman, author, speaker and CEO for Raynforest Inc, an Influencer Marketplace, and Mark Willaman, Founder and President of Fisher Vista, LLC, the owners of HRmarketer software and the fisher VISTA marketing agency.  Join us each week as experts help us explore issues shaping the world of work!
Oct 30, 2013
Join us each week as experts help us explore issues shaping world of work! #TChat Radio show is back live Wednesday, October 30, 2013, 6:30 pm ET (3:30 pm PT). Immediately after, our community will continue the conversation on #TChat Twitter from 7-8 pm ET.   Last week we talked about fun and games in team-building and employee engagement activities, and this week we’re going to have fun searching and applying for jobs on our smart phones. Really, we are.   A recent Recruiting Trends survey finds more than 40% of recruiters have received an application using a mobile or tablet device. Also, LinkedIn and Prudential recently told Bersin by Deloitte that more than 50% of candidates find jobs through their mobile devices.   These recruiting times they are a-changin’ by rockin’ the mobile.   Join #TChat co-creators and hosts Meghan M. Biro and Kevin W. Grossman as we discuss the subject with our good friends this wk: Jessica Miller-Merrell, SPHR, Founder and Chief Blogger of Blogging4Jobs, and Rayanne Thorn, VP of Product Marketing and Strategy for Technomedia, a global talent management solutions provider. This will be another important #TChat show about how mobile continues to change recruiting and job search!
Oct 23, 2013
Join us each week as experts help us explore issues shaping the world of work! #TChat Radio show is back live on Wednesday, October 23, 2013, at 6:30 pm ET (3:30 pm PT). Immediately after, our entire community will continue the conversation on #TChat Twitter from 7-8 pm ET.  Recently at this year's HR Technology Conference & Exposition, we had an amazing panel discussion about engagement - more specifically - employee energy, drive and focus, which has become the holy grail of HR and business leaders. This is true through every aspect of the talent lifecycle. By why? Most internal initiatives designed to improve the status quo haven’t moved the needle much, if at all.   Now throw in "fun and games" into the engagement equation. Does creating fun team-building challenges and continuous recognition activities improve overall well-being, productivity and retention? Does it help create culture where there was none before?   Join #TChat co-creators and hosts Meghan M. Biro and Kevin W. Grossman as we look to our new friends from the Great White North for answers: Mario Coculuzzi, Eastern Region Director for Microsoft Canada, and Dan Benoni, Co-Founder & Product Director of Officevibe, a social employee engagement platform.
Oct 16, 2013
Join us each week as experts help us explore issues shaping the world of work! #TChat Radio show is back live on Wednesday, October 16, 2013, at 6:30 pm ET (3:30 pm PT). Immediately after, our entire community will continue the conversation on #TChat Twitter from 7-8 pm ET.   Last week, the TalentCulture community discussed age discrimination in the workplace. This week, we look at age in the workplace from another perspective -- specifically through the lens of Generation X.   Why Gen X? Many say that Boomers and Millennials capture most of the attention -- leaving little on the table for those in the middle. But does evidence really support that perception? Is Gen X suffering in silence somehow? If so, what are the consequences for business, as Boomers retire from the workforce, and organizations require new leaders, experts and innovators?   This week, we're giving Gen X the attention it deserves.   Join #TChat co-creators and hosts Meghan M. Biro and Kevin W. Grossman as we welcome expert guest, Mark Babbitt, CEO of YouTern and COO of SwitchandShift.   This is a topic that affects us all -- regardless of our age or profession. So be sure to tune in and join the conversation!
Oct 2, 2013
#TChat Radio is all new and live Wednesday, October 2, 2013, at 6:30 pm ET (3:30 pm PT), with the #TChat Twitter chat right after from 7-8 pm ET.   Last week we talked about the rub of transparency and privacy in the workplace between employer and employee, and this week we're talking about engaging the dark side of workplace effectiveness.   Yes, the dark side. Contemporary organizations focus on trying to maintain upbeat hyper-positive work ecologies. Anger has to be managed; depression requires medication; shame becomes a disciplinary tool; guilt is the subtext of the employee manual; grief is allotted three days; family crises are never lunchroom conversations.    What if the key to maximum effectiveness was the celebration of these dark emotions and moods? What if we recognized that each of the darker, unacceptable emotions were treasure troves of insight and results? What if organizational adaptability depended on employing the full person not just the razor thin, Prozac enhanced person?   What if indeed. Let's discuss.   Join #TChat co-creators and hosts Meghan M. Biro and Kevin W. Grossman as we welcome our special guests: John Sumser, the founder and editor-in-chief of the HRExaminer Online Magazine and the principal of Two Color Hat; and William Tincup, the CEO of HR consultancy Tincup & Co. and a leading thinker on social media application for HR and an expert on adoption of HR technology.   This will be another important #TChat show about engaging the world of work's dark side, so join us!
Sep 25, 2013
#TChat Radio is all new and live Wednesday, September 25, 2013, at 6:30 pm ET (3:30 pm PT), with the #TChat Twitter chat right after from 7-8 pm ET.   Last week we talked about gaming and measuring talent, and this week we're talking about the rub of transparency and privacy in the workplace between employer and employee.   The transparency movement has certainly solidified, particularly the fact that employees not just prefer but demand more transparency from their employers – for example, how much profit they’ve made, why they promote and fire certain individuals and not others.   Truth be told, while many employment laws have an indirect "transparency" mandate like in the case of Title VII and Sarbanes Oxley, generally the law does not grant a "right" of transparency to employees.   And it just gets more complicated when you add in privacy issues and the ability of an employer or an employee to prevent disclosures to the other.   Join #TChat co-creators and hosts Meghan M. Biro and Kevin W. Grossman as we welcome our special guest: Mary Wright, a Shareholder and the former General Counsel of Ogletree Deakins, the US Powerhouse in Employment Litigation, and founding Editor of the HR Gazette, a daily on-line newspaper for HR Professionals and Employment Lawyers.     This will be another important #TChat show about employment law, transparency and privacy.
Sep 18, 2013
#TChat Radio is all new and live Wednesday, September 18, 2013, at 6:30 pm ET (3:30 pm PT), with the #TChat Twitter chat right after from 7-8 pm ET.   Last week we talked about workplace violence and preparedness, and this week we're talking about a lighter yet quite valuable subject for the enterprise.   Everybody loves a good game. The challenge, the entertainment, the skilling up, the rewards.    Gamification is something we’ve been hearing a lot about in the world of work. But the fact remains it’s a powerful movement that helps companies recruit, learn, engage and retain more accurately.   Tapping into the competitive nature in us all, while measuring the results from these "games," provides accurate insight into who we all are and why, the reality of truly not being able to "game the system."   Join #TChat co-creators and hosts Meghan M. Biro and Kevin W. Grossman as we welcome our special guests: Guy Halfteck, an Israeli entrepreneur, is the CEO of Knack, a technology startup he founded in 2010, and Mark Howorth, Chief Operating Officer at Panavision, and previously Partner and Senior Director of Global Recruiting at Bain & Company.       This will be another important show about gaming ourselves for the better.
Sep 11, 2013
#TChat Radio is all new and live Wednesday, September 11, 2013, at 6:30 pm ET (3:30 pm PT), with the #TChat Twitter chat right after from 7-8 pm ET.   We remember where we were on 9/11 -- when the unimaginable became a horrific reality, just as the workday began.   Last week we talked about how recruiting is marketing, and this week, in honor of 9/11, we're going to talk about workplace violence.   The fact is that workplace violence can be any act of physical violence large scale or between two people. It includes threats of physical violence, harassment, intimidation, or other threatening, disruptive behavior that occurs at the work site. Workplace violence can affect or involve employees, visitors, contractors, and other employees.   And while the number of workplace homicides has decreased in the past few years, no one can ignore the reality that violence is still a serious issue for our communities, our schools, and our workplaces. Tonight's show is all about having a plan in place before tragic violence occurs.   Join #TChat co-creators and hosts Meghan M. Biro and Kevin W. Grossman as we welcome our special guests: Felix P. Nater, Chief Security Consultant, President and Owner of Nater Associates, Ltd., and Thomas Bronack, a Certified Business Recovery Professional (CBRP) from DRII.     This will be another important show about keeping the world of work safe and sound, while preparing for the worst.
Sep 4, 2013
#TChat Radio is all new and live Wednesday, September 4, 2013, at 6:30 pm ET (3:30 pm PT), with the #TChat Twitter chat right after from 7-8 pm ET.   Last week we talked about taking entrepreneurship inside organizations, and this week, in honor of Labor Day, we're going to talk about how the front end affects the long run.   What you ask? Recruiting is marketing. Simple as that. The recruiting process contributes greatly to employee engagement, productivity, retention and improved employment brand.    Fact is, first impressions truly do make a difference and the level of accuracy, transparency, and measuring the right "marketing" metrics during the recruiting process contributes greatly to how an employee views the company, the job and their role in the organization and sets the tone of the entire employment relationship.    Recruiting is marketing -- accuracy, transparency and data can make all the difference!   Join #TChat co-creators and hosts Meghan M. Biro and Kevin W. Grossman as we welcome our special guests: David Bernstein, Vice President of the "Big Data for HR" Division at eQuest, and Chris Fields, an HR consultant, expert resume writer and HR content writer.   This will be another important show about making and measuring recruiting magic, so join us.
Aug 28, 2013
#TChat Radio is all new and live Wednesday, August 28, 2013, at 6:30 pm ET (3:30 pm PT), with the #TChat Twitter chat right after from 7-8 pm ET.   Last week we talked about workplace flexibility as a business strategy, and this week we're going to talk about how "go-givers" far and wide make businesses grow in today's economy, and then some. These are the "intrapraneurs" if you will -- those who look inside and then elevate others -- which makes for a much better business strategy than you'd think.   You may have heard the following mantra in various iterations, including literally from this week's guest:   “All things being equal, people will do business with, and refer business to, those people they know, like and trust.”   Join #TChat co-creators and hosts Meghan M. Biro and Kevin W. Grossman as we welcome our special guest: Bob Burg, a sought-after speaker and supporter of the free enterprise system and an empathic world of work, as well as the bestselling author of Endless Referrals and The Go-Giver (coauthored with John David Mann).  This will be another important business show for us all, so be a go-giver and join us.
Aug 21, 2013
#TChat Radio is all new and live Wednesday, August 21, 2013, at 6:30 pm ET (3:30 pm PT). Remember, the #TChat Twitter chat will follow from 7-8 pm ET.   Last week we talked about workplace innovation and how we can fuse disruption and adoption. This week we're going to talk about the growing number of professionals who telecommute and work from home — and who get the work done - another form of evolving workplace innovation.   Progressive companies today emphasize work-life fit (not balance, thank you) that includes some form of workplace flexibility as a “business strategy,” not an employee benefit. Workplace flexibility has been shown to reduce absenteeism, turnover, real estate costs, utilities and other expenses, while in the same breath improving attracting and retaining talent, employee engagement, productivity and much more.   Join #TChat co-creators and hosts Meghan M. Biro and Kevin W. Grossman as we welcome our special guests: Lisa Horn, Co-Leader of SHRM’s Workplace Flexibility Initiative and a SHRM Senior Government Relations Advisor, and Susan Lovegren, SVP of HR at Plantronics, a global leader in audio communications for businesses and consumers that recently launched their Smarter Working initiative.    This will be another important show for us all, so talk about changing the corporate mindset of clocking time in a cubicle.

#TChat Radio is all new and live Wednesday, August 14, 2013, at 6:30 pm ET (3:30 pm PT). Remember, the #TChat Twitter chat will follow from 7-8 pm ET.   Last week we talked about the ingenious super heroes within all of us -- complete with Star Wars, Brady Bunch and MacGyver references.   This week we're going to try and bridge the elusive gap between ingenuity, intrinsic motivation, employee engagement, workplace software adoption and the disruptive technologies of today that supposedly enable all of the above.   According to this week's guest, disruptive workplace technologies are not new, but the impact they can have in business (and do) is something that enterprises can no longer ignore. This includes social collaboration, social learning, video technologies, gamification, 3D printing and so much more -- but the keys are the adoption and business outcomes.   Join #TChat co-creators and hosts Meghan M. Biro and Kevin W. Grossman as we welcome our special guest: Jim Lundy, CEO and Lead Analyst at Aragon Research Inc., a leading technology research firm.    This will be another important show for us all, so let's fuse world of work disruption and adoption. In a good way.
