#TChat Radio is all new on Tuesday, April 16, 2013, at 7:30 pm ET (4:30 pm PT). Even with the collaborative "social" technologies available today to share and learn across the private enterprise and the public domain, nothing beats attending a quality industry conference chock full of thought leaders and content and that all-too valuable face-time networking. #TChat co-creators and hosts, Meghan M. Biro and Kevin W. Grossman, are excited to be participating in this year's HRO Today Forum coming up April 30 - May 2, 2013, in Philadelphia, PA -- and in preparation they're even more thrilled to welcome this week's #TChat Radio guest, Elliot Clark, the CEO & Chairman at SharedXpertise, the publishers of HRO Today, FAO Today, HRO Europe, CRO magazines and manager of the Shared Xpertise Forums. We've heard this before -- that the structure of work and HR is changing -- but the reality is evolving so rapidly today that in order to better address tomorrow’s sustainable prosperity, organizations truly are becoming flatter, more agile and depending on research and data to drive decisions for optimized business results. This week’s #TChat Radio and Twitter #TChat will cover what it means to be a World-Class Workforce and draw on the HRO Today Forum topics. The World-Class Workforce uses integrated self-service technology; it is focused on leadership development, talent assessment and culture; and, it has a firm grasp on the business’s current talent and future needs. This will be a great "world of work" show, so we hope to see you here!

#TChat Radio is all new on Tuesday, April 9, 2013, at 7:30 pm ET (4:30 pm PT). We cling to plenty of premises -- postulates, really -- to guide and make sense of our day-to-day lives. In the world of work, prominent among these are the categorization of generations and the cataloguing of generational differences. We fret over how to recruit Millennials. We wonder how to manage them vs. Baby Boomers or members of Generation X. We reinforce stereotypes, all under the guise of a Renaissance, a passing of the torch from generation to generation. But we can challenge our postulates by just working with people. This week’s #TChat is all about forcing ourselves to free ourselves from the limiting walls of generational-driven thinking. Let’s shatter the myths. In more ways than they aren’t, the generations are the same. “Individuals” are characterized by the very word individual. Join co-creator and host, Meghan M. Biro, and guest co-host, Anna Brekka from Recruiting Trends (Kevin W. Grossman will be on a plane), and their informative expert guests: John Wilson, CEO at WilsonHCG, and Ashley Lauren Perez, Sourcing Specialist at WilsonHCG. WilsonHCG is a global human capital solutions company offering recruitment process outsourcing (RPO) and human capital consulting services. This will be a great "world of work" show, so we hope to see you here!

#TChat Radio is all new on Tuesday, April 2, 2013, at 7:30 pm ET (4:30 pm PT). There are many different flavors related to the term "software as a service" (SaaS) in business today. It's part of the cloud computing nomenclature -- "clouding" this and "clouding" that making everything more accessible with reduced long-term hardware, software and networking costs. So what about Talent as a Service (TaaS) or Humans as a Service (HuaaS)? How exactly would that work? Got you thinking, didn't it. According to one of this week's guests, Richie Etwaru, "a more humanistic, people-centric view of the 'as a Service' phenomena extends Everything as a Service to 'Everyone as a Service.'" What we're really talking about is on-demand talent in the cloud, the ability for anyone or any company to source individual talent and groups of talent for anything, at any time, for any kind of work and frequency, in any interation and/or for any ideation. On some levels this already happens with sourcing contingent workers globally via freelance sites and other services. But can that ever scale effectively and efficiently for the enterprise as well as smaller companies and consultancies? That's what we're going to talk about this week on this week on #TChat Radio and Twitter #TChat with our guests Jason Averbook, long-time HR thought leader and Chief Business Innovation Officer at Appirio, and Richie Etwaru, Group Vice President of Cloud and Digital Innovation at Cegedim Relationship Management. We hope to see you here!

#TChat Radio is all new on Tuesday, March 26, 2013, at 7:30 pm ET (4:30 pm PT). Social learning and talent development are life-long processes that transcend career and education, cutting to the core of why we’re here and what it means to be human. We are here to become more, to experience and develop our talents in every aspect of living. Life is a continuous process of learning and skill development. Many of the skills we’ve learned are so embedded in our lives that we never think about them. Comprehend the countless number of hard and soft skills it takes to navigate a single day of living in the 21st century. This week’s #TChat Radio and Twitter #TChat is all about social learning -- how technology, social media and social business are transforming the ways we learn and develop skills. The organizational playing field is in a constant state of accelerated change. Talent and skill development has become about more, better, faster, now. Join co-creators and hosts, Meghan M. Biro and Kevin W. Grossman and their informative expert guests: Michael Clark, CEO of ReCenter, and Justin Mass, Sr. Manager of Learning Technology & Design at Adobe. #TChat Radio is all new on Tuesday, March 19, 2013, at 7:30 pm ET (4:30 pm PT). According to Bersin by Deloitte, 2013 looks to be a decent year of global growth, but for HR and talent leaders it will also continue to present a myriad of challenges. Bersin by Delloite research shows that organizations are struggling to create a global leadership pipeline, train leaders locally, develop strategic mobility programs, and deepen core technical skills across industries. In fact, a greater skills imbalance will further exacerbate what businesses need and waht they can find in the labor market. This week's Tuesday #TChat Radio Show (March 19, 2013) welcomes Josh Bersin, Founder and Principal at Bersin by Deloitte, leading provider of research-based membership programs in human resources (HR), talent and learning. Josh will discuss their recent research and "world of work" predictions for 2013 and beyond as well as assess how Q1 has faired so far. Then we'll continue to the conversation on our weekly Wednesday #TChat Twitter forum (March 20, 2013 at 7pmET). This will be another great show, so we hope to see you here!

#TChat Radio is all new on Tuesday, March 5, 2013, at 7:30 pm ET (4:30 pm PT). We've all seen what polarization can do to a community and country. Extreme polarization hobbles our ability to improve processes and social ills, to progress at a global business leader, to just plain get things done. According to our guest this week, Jesse Lyn Stoner (@JesseLynStoner), collaboration is the remedy for polarization. "Collaboration is not about giving up your individuality. In fact, successful collaboration depends on speaking clearly and honesty about what you stand for. Collaboration is about valuing and mobilizing diversity as a force toward the common good. It is about recognizing and respecting the humanity in each individual, even those who are stuck at a pole." This is tough for leaders and individual contributors to do in the heat of polarization, but it's critical for the world of work to advance, as well as the world itself. This is the very heart of productive communities online and off. This week on TalentCulture's #TChat Radio and Twitter #TChat, we’re going to discuss the benefits of community collaboration in every incarnation and entity we belong. Join co-creators and hosts, Meghan M. Biro and Kevin W. Grossman and their informative expert guest: - Jesse Lyn Stoner (@jesselynstoner), a business consultant, coach, former executive, and bestselling author who has worked closely with leaders for over 25 years, helping them create collaborative, engaged workplaces that make a powerful and positive impact on the world. This will be another great show, so we hope to see you here!

#TChat Radio is all new on Tuesday, February 26, 2013, at 7:30 pm ET (4:30 pm PT). We've recently made the business case for the unemployed and we've helped to further humanize brands. Now the Internet's collaborative interconnectivy empowers us all to own our online presence, our personal branding, our development, our successes and of course, our painful failures. And own them we must. This new level of social transparency presents a peer-vetted playing field unprecedented in the world of work. We continue to learn from one another, mentor one another, give it to each other straight whether we live in the same town our across the globe. Inject a little branded entertainment and you've potentially got something crazy good on your hands. Queue the wildly popular recruiting show called Top Recruiter, The Competition Miami Reality Show. Creator and executive producer Chris LaVoie brought together savvy recruiter pros and pitted them against one another with a variety of talent acquisition tasks, all in the name of helping professionals find promising employment. This week on TalentCulture's #TChat Radio and Twitter #TChat, we’re going to discuss the good and the bad of putting such an important topic under the hyper-reality TV camera lens. Join co-creators and hosts, Meghan M. Biro and Kevin W. Grossman and their informative expert guests: - Chris LaVoie (@TopRecruiterTV), creator and executive producer of Top Recruiter, The Competition Miami Reality Show - Rayanne Thorn (@Ray_anne), VP of communications and branding for Evenbase US and one of the judges from Top Recruiter season 1   This will be a hit show in and of itself, so we hope to see you here!

#TChat Radio is all new on Tuesday, February 19, 2013, at 7:30 pm ET (4:30 pm PT).?  Let’s demystify “brand humanization.” It’s a nice-sounding term, fluffy and a little sweet, but we need to figure out exactly what it stands for and how to make brand humanization happen. Social media facilitates the humanization of brands, making them seem more accessible to customers and candidates alike, but things can get messy really fast and the result doesn’t necessarily equal brand humanization. It's just, well, a marketing mess. When combining these two ingredients can you breathe true transparent life into brands? This week on TalentCulture #TChat, we’re going to look into what that looks like and build the case for giving brands vibrancy and a human dimension. For reals. Join co-creators and hosts, Meghan M. Biro and Kevin W. Grossman and their informative expert guest:?  Jamie Notter (@JamieNotter) -- Consultant, Speaker and Author at JamieNotter.com. His latest book is called Humanize: How People-Centric Organizations Succeed in a Social World.   This will be a great show, so we hope to see you here!

#TChat Radio is all new on Tuesday, February 12, 2013, at 7:30 pm ET (4:30 pm PT).   There’s just too many of them; there are 4.8 million people who are known as "the long-term unemployed” according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. These are people who have been out of work for 27 weeks or more, and in fact make up almost 40 percent of all unemployed people. The current average period a person in the U.S. stays unemployed is about 40 weeks, which is just way too long. Employers who are hiring won’t hire them and states like New Jersey, Oregon and the District of Columbia passed laws in 2011 and 2012 so employers couldn’t discriminate against the unemployed. There was also a bill in California for the same law but it was vetoed by the Governor. What to do? Should we further legislate who we can or can’t hire? Should the unemployed be given a fair shake if they do everything in their power to remain relevant and up-to-date with skills through contracting and volunteering? Jobs don’t appear magically, so who and what creates them? This week’s #TChat explores this continuing conundrum on what both the employers can and should do and what the unemployed can and should do to make their business case and close the gaps. Join co-creators and hosts, Meghan M. Biro and Kevin W. Grossman and their informative expert guests:   Dr. Janice Presser (@DrJanice), CEO and a Principal of The Gabriel Institute, and architect of the underlying technology that powers Teamability™. Kevin Matuszak (@Tooozy), our very special guest who will talk about his creative #HireKevin campaign to work at Applebee's! You won't want to miss it so we hope to see you here!

#TChat Radio is all new on Tuesday, February 5, 2013, at 7:30 pm ET (4:30 pm PT).   You know the story. Once upon a time, companies courted new talent with the promise of a lifelong relationship. “Work” meant employment and job security for years, if not decades. But the romance has died, and for better or worse, we are so over it. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, an estimated 40% of all U.S. workers currently operate on a part-time or contract basis. And as Bersin by Deloitte says, “The contingent workforce is now a permanent fixture, so many elements of talent management, recruiting and engagement are being extended to these mobile “free agents.” Really? Just how well are companies rising to the occasion in this “highly scalable” new world order they’ve created? Are contractors still considered “second-class citizens” in most corporate settings? What’s being done by leading-edge companies to ensure that contingent workers fit into the culture and engage with the organization? During this week’s #TChat Radio and Twitter #TChat, we'll tackle these questions and more by taking perspectives from the enterprise and the individual contributor. Join co-creators and hosts, Meghan M. Biro and Kevin W. Grossman and their informative expert guests:   Greta Roberts (@gretaroberts), CEO at Talent Analytics Corp., the leader linking “raw talent” with business performance using analytics. Dawn Rasmussen (@dawnrasmussen), Founder of Pathfinder Writing and Careers, a boutique resume writing and career management company. You won't want to miss it so we hope to see you here!

#TChat Radio is all new on Tuesday, January 29, 2013, at 7:30 pm ET (4:30 pm PT).   Diversity of ideas, of perspectives -- it’s all about innovation, this diversity; diversity isn’t just about demographics. That’s the premise of this week’s #TChat. We propose an alternative definition of diversity, not a counterpoint to the conventional meaning, but a flourish upon it. Musicians call such things embellishments. Maybe you’ve heard them. Centuries ago, performers would add their own trills (i.e., extra notes) to the composer’s notes. During this week’s #TChat Radio and Twitter #TChat, let’s embrace that sort of innovation in the workplace; let’s explore how to cultivate diversity of ideas in the world of work.   Join co-creators and hosts, Meghan M. Biro and Kevin W. Grossman and their informative expert guest:   Rob Garcia, (@RobGarciaSJ), Director of Product Strategy & Marketing at RiseSmart, the leader in next-generation outplacement solutions. You won't want to miss it so we hope to see you here!

#TChat Radio is all new on Tuesday, January 22, 2013, at 7:30 pm ET (4:30 pm PT).   Endorsements online can mean a lot. They can help an organization’s SEO, and research shows that a large majority percentage of social media users turn to their peers for recommendations on products and services, and not to the organizations themselves that provide these -- a sort of unofficial recommendation. Against the backdrop of social endorsements are the official and unofficial mechanisms for professional endorsements and recommendations that drive careers, too. For this week’s #TChat Radio and Twitter #TChat, we’re going to look into whether or not all online endorsements are created equal, and we’re going to do our best to extrapolate as many key takeaways as possible applicable to the world of work.   Join co-creators and hosts, Meghan M. Biro and Kevin W. Grossman and this week's expert guests: Dr. Marla Gottschalk, Practice Manager in Organizational Development at Rand Gottschalk & Associates, a management consultant focusing on organizational change and performance development. Mike Dwyer, Co-Founder and Managing Director of Market Development at QUEsocial, a social business technology platform that equips employees in recruiting, sales, customer service, product marketing and marketing with job-specific training, content and motivation to convert social media activities into desired outcomes. This is one show you don't want to miss. We'll see you here!

#TChat Radio is all new on Tuesday, January 15, 2013, at 7:30 pm ET (4:30 pm PT).   When you recognize your employees and show thanks to them, do you fake it? Maybe or probably not, but does it seem like you do, to them? That’s a conundrum, how organizations can project genuine gratitude and authentic recognition. We’re not saying you don’t mean it, but your employees need to know you mean it. They gotta feel it, too. This week we look at these dynamics, including technology’s proper role, and along the way, we take a stab at solving a couple related, chicken-and-egg riddles. This week’s #TChat Radio and Twitter #TChat will help to answer these questions and give us all hope for a better employee recognition outlook.   Join co-creators and hosts, Meghan M. Biro and Kevin W. Grossman and this week's expert guests: Ted Coine, a recognized author, blogger and social media commenter on leadership, workplace culture, entrepreneurship, and the effect of social channels on business. He's also the co-founder of Switchandshift.com, a powerful blog about a better way to do business from the human side and the customer side. Rob Catalano, head of Marketing at Achievers, a social employee recognition software that helps engage employees and drive performance globally. This is one show you don't want to miss. We'll see you here!

Happy New Year! #TChat Radio is all new on Tuesday, January 8, 2013, at 7:30 pm ET (4:30 pm PT).   2013 is upon us. What does it mean for careers? With the true U.S. unemployment rate still high and employee engagement still low, who out there is still looking, who’s given up and who’s about to start? How do we make ourselves more marketable and relevant in an ever-changing world of work? How do we skill up, keep our jobs, find new jobs and transition if we’re looking for a new career path? This week’s #TChat Radio and Twitter #TChat welcome career management experts and candidates alike to help to answer these questions and give us all hope for a better employment outlook.   Join co-creators and Hosts, Meghan M. Biro and Kevin W. Grossman and this week's fantastic #TChat Radio guests Miriam Salpeter, Founder of Keppie Careers, Mark Babbitt, CEO of YouTern, and Andy Osburn, CEO of Equals6.com. And Kevin W. Grossman will shamelessly plug his new career management book Tech Job Hunt Handbook. We'll see you here!
Dec 19, 2012
#TChat Radio is all new on Tuesday, December 18, at 7:30 pm ET (4:30 pm PT).   It’s that time of year again, a time when we all look to the next year and wonder what will happen in the world of work. But here’s something we don’t do nearly as much of in December: look back at predictions about the year about to end and ask, “Hey, wait a minute: Was that accurate? Did that actually happen? Why or why not?”     This week’s #TChat Radio and Twitter #TChat is all about figuring that out. Oh, yeah, we’ll look at 2013, too; making predictions is fun, after all, and we’ll be able to look back on our own in December 2013. ...which will be here sooner than we think (sigh...).   Join co-creators and Hosts, Meghan M. Biro and Kevin W. Grossman and this week's fantastic #TChat Radio guest Angela Maiers, Founder and CEO of Maiers Educational Services, to discuss talent trends - and their implications past, present and future.
Dec 12, 2012
#TChat Radio is all new on Tuesday, December 11, at 7:30 pm ET (4:30 pm PT).   The “holiday” season can be a gracious season of sharing for the world of work, but it can also be contentious when it comes to embracing and celebrating what each of your employees believe in -- or not embracing and celebrating. Organizations are so worried about offending and oppressing a diverse employee landscape that they end up doing just that -- offending and oppressing.    Religious and cultural beliefs aside, this week’s #TChat Radio and Twitter #TChat are all about the holiday season spirit, giving and gratitude and how important it all is for employees globally over the next few weeks and throughout the year.   Co-Creators and Hosts, Meghan M. Biro and Kevin W. Grossman welcome this week's #TChat Radio guests Meghan Peters, Community Manager from Mashable, and Brian Sirgutz, SVP of Social Impact at The Huffington Post/AOL.    Join us!

#TChat Radio is all new on Tuesday, December 4, at 7:30 pm ET (4:30 pm PT).   Today’s world of work is crazy busy with too many technologies to ever master that are supposed to make our lives more organized. And yet, we’re not. In fact, we still try to convince ourselves that multitasking is a real thing when we’re actually barely completing half-thoughts much less our regular strategic and tactical tasks.    This week’s #TChat Radio and Twitter #TChat are all about slowing down personally and professionally, how to better manage our time, how to improve our prioritization while improving productivity, how to use the right technology to make it so, and how to be better leaders and colleagues, mentors and friends, whether of our individual roles or our true leadership roles if we’re management.   Co-Creators and Hosts, Meghan M. Biro and Kevin W. Grossman welcome this week's #TChat Radio Guests: Cali William Yost and Judy Martin.   Join us!
